For us at MZ roofing, it’s more than replacing old shingles. We pay close attention to detail, repair any damage, and anything that could become a potential problem in the future. Our skilled crew can adapt to whatever you need. We can handle complex roofs and repairs and will make a tailored project plan custom to your budget and needs.

Roofing materials and shingles
The majority of our projects have been installed with Owens Corning – Duration.
The difference between a good shingle and a great shingle is having SureNail® Technology.
SureNail features a wide, highly visible engineered fabric strip in the nailing area for a consistent, quality installation, and the unique product design provides outstanding gripping power.
Triple Layer Shingle
With SureNail® Technology, a unique triple layer of reinforcement occurs when the fabric overlays the common bond of the shingle layers, offering excellent fastener holding power. Compared with standard shingles that have only one or two layers in the nailing zone.

Our Process
Removing old shingles “The Workout”
Here is where everything begins. We remove each shingle and any underlayment that your roof has.
This also involves:
· Cleaning your roof.
· Cleaning the gutters.
· We evaluate the condition of the wood on your roof and replace any water damaged wood.
Underlayment “The key”
This is the most important part of the installation process. This is what is going to protect your roof from water, ice, snow and make it waterproof.
This involves:
· Evaluating the ventilation of your roof based off of the vents you already have installed and the size of your attic. Proper ventilation means healthy wood.
· We install synthetic paper on the whole roof.
· Ice and water shield membrane.
· Installation of metal on your roof’s valleys as well as metal drip edge if needed.
Shingles installation “The experience”
Each installation is different. We must take into consideration several aspects for an appropriate installation based off of altitude, the slope of the roof, valleys, geographical region, and of course, following Alberta’s Construction Code.
Installation process includes:
· Shingles
· Air vents
· Metal flashing
· Hip and ridge shingles.
· Final inspection.
Cleaning “Almost Done”
· We clean and dispose of any garbage to ensure none is left behind. This includes sweeping and using a magnet rake to collect nails.
· We will ensure your yard is just as clean than before we started!
· If you get a flat tire after our work, we pay for the repair!
